American Camp offers a variety of trail experiences.
- A 1.25 mile self-guided history foot trail, begins in the American Camp parking lot.
- Jake's Lagoon Trail is 1.5 miles long. Great bird watching.
- Mt. Finlayson Trail is a 3 mile loop taking you to the top of Mt. Finlayson. Beautiful views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Mountains, and British Columbia.
- The South Beach walk is 2 miles long. Great tide pool observing during low tide.

To start with this website will serve simply as a place to announce club rides and locations, and may be used to create a survey to find out what everyone's interests are and how involved in a club they would like to be. The website can grow from there if necessary. If the weather looks iffy the night before a scheduled group ride, check the website for updates or possible cancellations.
At the recent meetings of the Bike Trails Subcommittee, the following have been identified as items best handled by our new bike club rather than by the Bike Trails Subcommittee itself:
1. Organized bike rides/tours
2. Increasing general bicycle awareness on the road and in the community
3. Safety and education both for bicyclists and motorists
4. Outreach to visitor groups about safety and etiquette on the island
5. Creating a unified group with a strong voice to promote bicycling on the island
