Friday Harbor, San Juan Island WA
Back in the day, the site where the Island Inn is located was once a fuel storage facility for the fishing and ferry fleet. Now, Friday Harbor’s Island Inn, just steps from the ferry landing, is nothing short of a sleek and stylish transformation, that is like no other in the hotel and lodging category of the San Juan Islands. Borrowing and celebrating the industrial theme that used to occupy the site, the Island Inn provides luxurious, sleek and stylish accommodations overlooking the harbor and marina of San Juan Island’s Friday Harbor. On most days, thanks to the exceptional weather here, you can see the neighboring islands of Orcas, Shaw and Lopez from one of seven spacious penthouse suites.

Meet You There
The inn offers two types of rooms, all unique and beautifully finished. The Penthouses offer stunning views, spacious kitchens and living quarters, and spa-like bathrooms and bedrooms. Each room is finished with handpicked artwork from local artists which were chosen to match the theme of the room. The other type of guestrooms is the Euros. These are simple, comfortable and affordable offerings, which still offer an incomparable alternative to the usual hotel room. The Euros all have access to the breathtaking views of the harbor from the harbor lobby, a shared space for Euro guests. Another beautiful feature worth mentioning is the light sound of trickling water around the Inn. This is not a leak in the roof! It is the rainwater collection system, which makes use of all the rainwater collected around the building to water the plants and creates a water feature in-between the Inn’s buildings. This is just one of the cleverly designed features of this beautiful hotel and, during your stay, you are bound to discover plenty more features that will appeal to you and keep you coming back for more.
