Winter time always conjures scenes of long evenings, warm surroundings, family dinners and cozy getaways! Well this winter Island Inn at 123 West, on Friday Harbor on San Juan Island are offering it all!
November 19th , December 31st 2011, or January 21st 2012 will be your chance to get away from the hustle bustle of the holidays to the warm retreat of Island Inn, Friday Harbor, who are partnering with Chef Gretchen Allison of Duck Soup Inn. Each date will be set in the luxuriant surroundings of the Island Inn’s beautiful penthouse suites over looking the harbor of Friday Harbor. Each session will include accommodation for two on a Friday and Saturday night, welcomed by Chef Gretchen Allison, a bottle of sparkling wine, an intimate cooking class with Chef Gretchen on Saturday evening and the cherry on the cake is you get to enjoy your hard work by enjoying the meal you just prepared in the class! All the equipment you will need will be provided, and you even get to bring the recipes that you worked on home with you.
Each evening has a different theme starting on November 19th with a class that focuses on fresh and local produce. The class starting on the 31st of December will focus on a new years eve feast, and January 21st class will highlight Indian fare. It is advised to book early as these classes will fill up quickly.
