The Island Inn Experience Ambassadors

Nothing short of perfection…”

So, our trip was last minute – a birthday gift from Jen to me. We arrived on this gem of an island and discovered our original accommodations were less than we’d hoped, so we went back to town. It was late in the day, and we were exhausted. We “stumbled” onto the Island Inn, and had the great fortune of catching Misty, the amazing owner of this property, and two members of her awesome staff who were so pleasant that I thought something had to be amiss. Although the exterior design elements of the Island Inn are spectacular, rarely does the interior meet or surpass that “trap,” right? Wrong. We were shown a fantastic guest suit, but out of curiosity we chose to view the available Penthouse #2. I consider myself to be on the upper -end of high-maintenance, so I was extremely surprised with the attention to detail in every area. We needed a room for the 3 nights we were there, but this presented an adventure for us and the staff as they were booked up on the last night of our stay. They offered us Penthouse #2 the first night – epic. We got Penthouse #1 the second night – epic. We would have stayed in one of their closets the final night if they’d let us, as I’m certain that closet would have been wonderful. We met Scott the second day, and he was as remarkable as the other members of the staff, and collectively they went out of their way for us. Every single thing about the Island Inn was perfect, and thus our first trip to the San Juan Islands was magical by any measure. This is also the first Trip Advisor review I’ve ever posted, but it’s being done for a very good reason. I hope it helps! Brad and Jen.

Room Tip: You can’t go wrong with any room, but the Penthouses are spectacular.
